One of a kind "Euro Whimsical" Art Dolls
and Mixed Media sculptures

Each of my fairy-tale-like, one of a kind (OOAK) art dolls are individually hand sculpted with polymer and paper clay. I use a variety of paints, depending on the look I am trying to achieive... oils, watercolor pencils and acrylic paints.  The doll bodies are constructed with a wire and batting armature.  Costumes are fashioned with fine and vintage fabrics, beads, and unusual found objects. Some of the dolls stand without a support structure, some are built into a decorative base, many times incorporating antique findings, and others sit or can be hung on a wall.  My intent is to take you to another joyful place in time...even if just for a moment!

NEW FOR 2009....Mixed media "Castaways" come from a land of magic and make-believe where leftovers from the junk pile turn into little puppet-like sculptures.  Each piece has an individually sculpted face of polymer or paper clay.  The bodies are a unique creation that is repurposed from scavenged cast-offs, fabrics and other ephemera.

PAPER DOLLS.."In the Spirit" dolls are made of an illustration underlayer with decorative paper on top.  Limbs are jointed with brads, so they can be positioned whichever way you like.  They are made to hang and include a thin wire for that purpose.  Check them out!

AUTOMATONS These whimsical dolls have a hand crank that allows them to move their head, hands and feet.
